Trump has insisted his administration has no intention of playing “hard ball” with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping – or mentioning the coronavirus pandemic – in order to make a deal in the two nations’ ongoing trade war.

“I’m not going to mention Covid. I’m not going to say, ‘Oh, I’m going to play hardball with China. I’m going to play hardball with you, President Xi’,” he told reporters in the Oval Office.

“No, no, we’re going to be very nice. They’re going to be very nice, and we’ll see what happens. But ultimately, they have to make a deal, because otherwise they’re not going to be able to deal in the United States, and we want them involved.”

The President also somewhat backtracked on the “very high” 145 per cent additional tariffs he’d slapped on China’s exports, saying they won’t be “anywhere near” that rate.

Climate cult cannot comprehend the energy artificial intelligence requires

unprecedented amounts of power. In this report, the authors extrapolate two exponential trends in AI compute to estimate AI data center power demand and assess its geopolitical consequences. They find that globally, AI data centers could need ten gigawatts (GW) of additional power capacity in 2025, which is more than the total power capacity of the state of Utah. If exponential growth in chip supply continues, AI data centers will need 68 GW in total by 2027 — almost a doubling of global data center power requirements from 2022 and close to California's 2022 total power capacity of 86 GW.
